California Casualty Offers Music & Arts Grants

California Casualty is pleased to announce that 60 public elementary, middle and high schools in Idaho, Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Oregon, and Wyoming were selected to help support their creative arts programs.

Arts and music programs have long been shown to enhance students’ critical thinking skills and creativity and improve their concentration, motivation and confidence. The arts play a more critical role in helping children express themselves, connect with each other, process stress, and stay engaged in their learning environment.

California Casualty’s Music and Arts Grants will give more students a chance to learn music, act in a school play, or hone their artistic talents!

In 2024, 60 grants of $250 each provided financial assistance for efforts such as:

  • Providing clay, paint, chalk and quality paper that offers students a wide variety of art experiences.
  • Acquiring a set of Orff instruments to teach music theory, composition, and performance that will help promote musical literacy, creativity, and collaboration among students.
  • Investing in everyday consumables like new oil pastels, watercolor paints and pencils, and Color my World colors.
  • Obtaining multicultural instruments, games, and activities to broaden students’ horizons.
  • Purchasing supplies for band students in need with materials such as reeds, valve oil, and cork grease.
  • Securing basic supplies like brushes, canvases, paint, rulers and scissors to help students create art projects.
